Computacenter Belgium is looking for anIT Support Field Engineer

We have an opportunity for an IT Support Field Engineer to join our dynamic Technical Resource Group team and work for one of our key customers around the Gent region.

 


What You'll Do

 

Working as part of a dynamic team you will provide onsite support.
 

Some of the daily activities are:

  • Providing onsite (at different customers sites) and remote support
  • Handling incidents and service requests for various business units, shops and warehouses 
  • Executing different IMAC’s (Install, Moves, ADDs, changes …) 
  • Carrying out extensive troubleshooting and problem solving 
  • Support of client specific hardware (printers, Hand scanners, meeting rooms, ...) 
  • Provide support for integration projects 
  • Providing after hours support (standby), in most cases by phone/remote support
  • Logging of incident calls
  • Participation in Techbar support

 

 

What You'll Need

 

  • Experience in a service desk or as a field engineer
  • Able to follow up on incidents & to set priorities
  • Flexible & willing to adjust to different client environments and needs
  • Service minded and result-oriented
  • Structured and a fast learner
  • Very good communication skills: Fluency in Dutch, French and English is required

 

Strong technical knowledge: 

  • PC’s and laptops 
  • Windows10 
  • MS office 2016, O365  
  • Azure AD, Endpoint / Intune is a benefit 
  • Printers 

 
A broad knowledge of different technologies: 

  • Network, LAN, WAN, IPT 
  • Printers and network printing
  • Citrix environment and applications 
  • smartphone and tablets  
  • Experience with the delivery of Field Support 
  • Experience with remote user assistance 

 
Personality: 

  • Customer focused, understanding customer needs
  • Autonomous, to be able to organise own workload    
  • Team player
  • Resilient person to be able to cope with a very fast-moving landscape  
  • Positive and responsive mindset  
  • Very good communication skills: fluent in Dutch / French / English
