Cloud Automation Engineer - Sopra Steria
The sky’s the limit with cloud computing, so you’ll need to use skills of virtualization, containerization, and orchestration using tools like Kubernetes and Docker to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions. As a DevOps (Cloud Automation) engineer, mostly in a Devops environment, you form the bridge between infrastructure and development. You guide and advise your customers in end-to-end using the DevOps process both in cloud native/hybrid and traditional architectures. For this you understand the needs of the customer and work together with mostly all existing IT-profiles like software engineers, architects, solution analysts and system engineers. You can think along on a technical and strategic level. In addition, you stay up-to-date with the latest technologies in terms of Cloud, the CNCF landscape and many more.

You’ll have knowledge and experience of the following:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a relevant equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience as an Automation or DevOps Engineer
- Familiar with one of these cloud platforms: Azure / AWS
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and know conceptually how they work
- Knowledge in at least one of these scripting tools: Bash, Powershell, ...
- Experience with container concepts: Docker, Kubernetes/Openshift, ...
- General network knowledge
- IAC tooling: Terraform, ANsible, Chef, Puppet
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, AWS Codepipeline, ArgoCD,…
