You are responsible for communicating, researching, planning, improving and governing the Technical Architecture of SNCB, mainly by working on reference architectures (by creating building blocks) for business projects (by supporting the Solution Architects), and enhancements on both (by modifying building blocks and maintaining roadmaps).
 

Your main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Provide technical leadership and insights for the technologies that have been identified / required as part of a solution (to Solution Architects)
  • Have a hands-on approach applying IT best practices and architectural standards to follow
  • Provide expertise in your disciplines and areas
  • Maintain roadmap for product components per technology area
  • Coach, guide and support implementation team, working closely with our external partner
  • Validate and provide feedback on detailed designs
  • Document the environment using Archimate in ADOIT following the defined metamodel
  • Translate application requirements into cloud and infrastructure architectures
  • Elaborate roadmaps and business cases

Your profile

  • Master degree or equivalent through experience
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience as Technical Architect
  • Good knowledge of English and Dutch or French (preferably with at least a passive knowledge of the second language)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of :
    • LAN, Wi-Fi, WAN, MPLS, VRF, SDN, routing & switching
    • Endpoint security, NAC, user VPN, PKI, IPAM, ...
    • Cisco SD Access stack (DNA, ISE, ...)
    • Infoblox
    • Algosec
    • Cisco security product (FMC, WSA)
    • F5 (LTM, APM, ASM)
  • Ability to understand and apply the long-term ("Big Picture") vision and tactical needs
     
  • Customer oriented, team player, security minded
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, good facilitating and negotiating skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • You have experience working together with (offshore) Service Providers
