We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our TVM (Ticket Vending Machine) team.

As a Business Analyst you manage the full lifecycle of the assigned software and hardware infrastructure from the idea phase until production including taking legacy out of production when they are replaced by new technology or become obsolete. In doing so, you have a strong focus on the implementation of the new software and hardware infrastructure.

You play a key role in analyzing business processes, requirements, and systems to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency. As a Functional Analyst, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather user/business requirements, and translate them into functional specifications that guide the development and implementation of various systems and software solutions. As a technical Analyst, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, describe user/ business requirements, and translate them into technical specifications (Jira and Confluence) that guide the external development.

Your main responsibilities are:
  • Analyze and understand business processes, systems, and requirements to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and development teams to gather and document user requirements.
  • Translate user requirements into detailed functional specifications that serve as a roadmap for software development and implementation.
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between existing systems and desired business outcomes, and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions and process improvements.
  • Write tangible documentation following the Agile principle in Atlassian software.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the functional design aligns with technical capabilities and constraints.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including user manuals, training materials, and system documentation.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing to validate system functionality and ensure it meets user requirements.
  • Provide end-user support and training, addressing questions, issues, and concerns related to system functionality.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to functional analysis.
Your profile:
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Functional / Technical Analyst or in a similar role for a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex business processes and identify improvement opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Fluent in FR and English, preferably also good knowledge of Dutch
  • Solid understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Knowledge of the Atlassian applications Jira and Confluence is a plus
  • Proficiency in gathering and documenting user requirements and translating them into functional specifications
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools is a plus
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
