What you'll do
As an IT Support Engineer, you will provide all-round (onsite) user support to the users of our international client(s) and will join a dynamic team of Computacenter employees at an IT Service Desk or Tech Bar.
We provide IT services and solutions in the areas of workplace, networking, data centres and cloud. As we provide services to/at our customers' premises, you will be employed at one of our customers during your internship. These are international large companies, from around 3,000+ users, in different sectors such as pharmaceuticals and automotive. You will interact with users at all levels, so these can include VIPs.
Some of the daily tasks include:
- Supporting end users
- Troubleshooting, software and hardware (laptop, desktop, printers)
- Installation and configuration of laptops
- Software problems for internal applications
- Organising, analysing and handling tickets in the IT ticketing tool
- Quick analysis and incident management, close cooperation with expert team
- Preparing new and repaired hardware
- Staging/preparing laptops and PCs with SCCM
- Preparing workstations for new joiners
- Follow up leaver processes and hardware return of leavers
- Backup inventory management where needed
- Maintain and update documentation for requests (e.g. checklists), ...
- Windows 10 and 11 troubleshooting
What you'll need
Ideally, you also possess these skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Knowledge of mobile and handheld devices
- An eye for detail and data accuracy
- Customer-oriented and communication skills
- Capacity to work smoothly with diverse teams, people and cultures
- Good time management and organisation skills
- Willing to take initiative and work hands-on
- Good communication skills, both oral and written in English and good command of Dutch and French
- A driving license B is definitely an added value to reach the internship site easily
Recruitment process
This exciting IT Support internship will be starting as of February 2025 and can run up to June 2025, according to your academic cycle. We only offer internships for students during their academic learning for 5 days per week (full-time).
